Microsoft Flight Simulator heeft veel vliegtuigen in drie verschillende versies van het spel. Hier zijn hun specificaties en in welke versies ze te vinden zijn.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is uit, en spelers hebben veel verschillende vliegtuigen om uit te kiezen, en ze kunnen ook over een hele gesimuleerde aarde vliegen. Er zijn drie verschillende versies van het spel : Standaard, Deluxe en Premium Deluxe. De standaardversie bevat twintig vliegtuigen. De deluxe-versie bevat alle vliegtuigen in de standaardversie plus vijf extra vliegtuigen. De Premium Deluxe is de complete versie van de game, met in totaal dertig vliegtuigen, maar heeft een behoorlijk prijskaartje. De standaardversie van Microsoft Flight Simulator is speelbaar voor Xbox Game Pass-abonnees, maar is nog niet beschikbaar op Xbox-platforms.
Elk van de vliegtuigen handelt zo realistisch mogelijk, wat betekent dat zelfs vliegtuigen in een vergelijkbare klasse een ander gevoel hebben en dat de speler zich moet aanpassen.
